SILICONE OIL SF 128

（Silicone softener in primary form)

SILICONE OIL SF 128 is compounded from Silicon materials DMC, D4. It is a primary form silicone oil and it can not be used directly. Please emulsify it firstly. Comparing with conventional amino silicone oil, it has better stability in high alkaline conditions and at high temperature, it also has outstanding resistance to anionic and shearing stability. It cannot be used directly. It should be emulsified. After emulsification, it is used for the finishing of 100% cotton knitted and woven fabric and cotton blended fabric. It has low yellowing effect.

Appearance: colorless to yellowish liquid

Density: 0.95 gr/cm³

Viscosity at 25℃: above 3000 m.pa s

Emulsifying:

Emulsifying formulation for 20% active content of silicone emulsion:

Procedure for emulsion of Silicone Oil SF 128(Primary form):

1. Feed emulsifiers into reactor, stir it while heating up to 40~50 ℃ & keep stirring for 10 min.

2. Add Oil SF 128 into reactor and stir it for 60 minutes.

3. Slowly add 71 kg of water to reactor and stir it for 20 minutes.

4. Add ethylene glycol monobutyl ether into reactor and keep stirring for 20 minutes.

5. Prepare 3kg of glacial acetic acid and 64kg of water, slowly add the prepared solution into reactor and stir it for 20 minutes.

6. Slowly add the left water, keep stirring for 20 minutes, then discharge.

7. Total dilution time is about 3.5 hours, appearance of emulsified SF 128 is colorless to yellowish liquid.

Now this emulsified Silicone softener can be applied in padding and exhaustion. Recommended dosage is 10~30 g/l for 20% active content of silicone oil SF 128.

Storage & Package:
